Axel Braun held the casting call this past Sunday for his upcoming superhero parody.
As reported by AVN, award-winning director Axel Braun held the casting call for Batman v Superman XXX: An Axel Braun Parody last Sunday.
The superhero parody will be part of Wicked Pictures’ new line of releases – Wicked Comix – which will specialise in titles based on comic books.
Pre-production has already begun and shooting will commence next year in the first week of January.
Four main characters have already been cast: Giovanni Francesco, Ryan Driller and Brendon Miller will reprise their roles as Batman, Superman and The Joker, respectively. Alison Tyler has also been announced as Wonder Woman. Other characters that will be featured in the film include Lex Luthor, Harley Quinn, Catwoman, Supergirl and Maxima.
On Sunday evening, Wicked Pictures tweeted a photo of the casting call in session and Braun also revealed that 68 women and 11 men auditioned to be in his film.

Braun explained what will be at the core of Batman v Superman XXX and spoke a little about the fight scenes that will require Francesco and Driller to go through some training:
“The core of the movie revolves around a confrontation between two very strong characters… So I hired an award-winning mainstream stunt coordinator to help us choreograph all the fight scenes, and Giovanni and Ryan will be training with him for two weeks in January. This is a darker, grittier and much larger-scale movie than any of my previous superhero parodies, and luckily I have Wicked’s full creative and financial support to help me pull all the stops to realize my vision.”
Batman v Superman XXX: An Axel Braun Parody is slated for release on 25th March, 2015.
